Okinawan Sanshin (Vintage) Makabe-style Kamigen Kuruchi (Ebony)

【Okinawan Sanshin】

This sanshin is approximately 35 years old since its creation, but it is in very good condition.

■ Creation Period: 30-35 years ago

■ Style: Makabe-gata

■ Neck: Kamigen Kuruchi (Ebony)

・Sanshin made solely from the core wood.
・When inspected by a local sanshin workshop, it was suggested that the neck is likely made from wood approximately 200 years old.

■ Lacquer: Urushi Lacquer

・The lacquer has been redone.

■ Shirata (White Wood Grain): Present only in the area shown in the 9th image.

■ Chiiga (Body): Likely made of camphor wood (according to a local sanshin workshop).
■ Skin: Synthetic leather

■ Karukui (Nut): Coral

・As this is an antique sanshin, the karukui is made slightly thinner.

■ Utaguchi (Mouthpiece): Cow bone

・There are no buzzing sounds from the utaguchi or the frets.

■ Bu'ate (Bridge Pad): Adjusted

【Case】
This is a hard case (made in Japan) with Shurei-in printed on it.

The straps inside the case that secure the sanshin are original and in beautiful condition.
