Vintage Brass & Green Velvet Jewelry Trinket Box Danseuses En Jaune by Degas

Where it was Made: These specific ormolu-style filigree metal boxes with padded fabric tops were primarily manufactured in Japan.  When it was Made: They were produced during the mid-to-late 20th century, most commonly throughout the 1960s and 1970s, during a peak trend for Hollywood Regency and Victorian-revival vanity decor.  The Artwork The print on the lid is a reproduction of Edgar Degass famous Impressionist painting titled Danseuses en Jaune (Dancers in Yellow), though the fabric prints on these vintage boxes often take on a slightly greener tint over time due to age and fading.  Being a preowned, well loved, and vintage (1960s) item, it may have wear marks, abrasions, discoloration, etc. Please review photos.
