Sony Walkman TPS-L2 1979 Original Stereo Cassette Player Case

Original Sony Walkman TPS-L2 Stereo Cassette Player, the iconic first-generation Walkman model introduced in 1979. This unit was found exactly as shown and has been left in its found condition. We have intentionally not cleaned, polished, restored, or opened it. Included: • Sony TPS-L2 Stereo Cassette Player • Original brown Sony carrying case with shoulder strap • Vintage Japanese Ashidavox stereo headphones found with the unit — not Sony headphones, but period/era appropriate • Serial No. 13046 Condition: The Walkman presents exceptionally well for its age and appears highly original. There are some scratches, scuffs and storage marks. We have deliberately made no attempt to clean or remove these marks. The battery compartment is notably clean with no obvious heavy battery corrosion. The original Sony carrying case is intact and complete, including its strap and hardware. The exterior finish has extensive age-related cracking/crazing from storage, which is clearly shown in the photographs. The vintage Ashidavox headphones were found with the Walkman. They are Japanese and appear appropriate to the period, but they are not the original Sony headphones supplied with the TPS-L2. FUNCTIONAL CONDITION: UNTESTED. Please examine all photographs closely. They are an important part of the description and show the exact item you will receive. Sold exactly as pictured and found.
