Vintage Cream Faux Alligator Vanity Train Case 1930s 1940s

Vintage vanity or train case dating approximately to the 1930s-40s, covered in embossed faux alligator material with a dark brown leather handle and aged metal hardware. The covering appears to have originally been cream or ivory and has developed substantial yellowing with age. Interior is divided into compartments and finished in a muted reddish brown. The underside of the lid retains exposed wood strips and remnants where original interior fittings or lining were once attached. A heavily worn but visually distinctive early travel case.  Dimensions: 11 W × 6 D × 7.5 H  Heavy age-related wear throughout, including uneven yellowing and discoloration, staining, scuffs, surface losses, worn corners and edges, and areas of fraying. Leather handle is worn but intact. Interior lid fittings/lining are missing with old adhesive and mounting remnants visible. Hinges and latch are intact. No key included.
