Landscape painting "Mt. Iwate Foothills" by Western-style painter Yoshio Nakahara, watercolor, wooden frame

This artwork depicts a landscape that is both severe and beautiful, with a certain heaviness reminiscent of an oil painting.

The title is At the Foot of Mt. Iwate.

This is a scene looking towards Mt. Iwate, past the Makiba Park of Koiwai Farm.

January 2005
This year, the New Year began with an unusual lack of snow.

The artist's name is Yoshio Nakahara.
After moving to Shizukuishi Town due to circumstances, he opened a cafe gallery called Tsuzure-sha.

In his youth, he was an avid mountaineer and traveled through the Alps.
I had the honor of visiting his home and listening to him calmly recount various life experiences, like a story.

This is a piece I purchased at his request during that visit.

I cherished it for a long time, but it has become difficult to manage, so I am now offering it for sale.

This is the foot of Mt. Iwate, reached by going straight ahead without turning on the road leading to the One Cherry Tree that became famous when the NHK morning drama Dondo Hare was broadcast.

This is a charming, wonderful, and rare piece, so please take a close look at the enlarged images.
I hope it catches the eye of someone who will appreciate it.

Additionally, I have another painting by the same artist titled Springtime Koiwai listed separately. If you purchase both, I will offer a discount.

* For spring and summer, the refreshing Springtime Koiwai.
* For autumn and winter, the dignified At the Foot of Mt. Iwate.

Please take a look at both pieces together. Thank you very much.
