925 Sterling Silver Art Nouveau Brooch Black Teardrop Pearl Rhinestone Dangle

Private Art Nouveau exhibition. Saturday evening.  You're wearing a sterling silver brooch with sweeping floral lines, pearl accents, rhinestones and a black teardrop dangle. The curator assumes you loaned something to the exhibition. Nobody checks. Five minutes later you're behind the velvet rope while two trustees ask whether the black drop is original and someone quietly moves a champagne tray closer.  This is the kind of brooch that actually earns the drama: openwork 925 sterling silver construction, sculptural floral design, sparkling clear accents, pearl-like beads, dark center cabochon and a dramatic suspended black teardrop. The back is clearly stamped 925. Weight is approximately 9.28 grams.  Olga Fartsworth arrived wearing a plastic flower pin from the pharmacy checkout rack and asked whether 925 was the room number. She was reassigned to counting coat hangers.  I needed to be somewhere else.  So I went straight to Dorsia for Squid Ravioli in a Lemongrass Broth with Goat Cheese Profiteroles. The waiter nodded.
